Reception at the airport and transfer to our office for registration. Then we will go to the dock to take our boat to the lodge (30 minutes). Welcome refreshing juice made with regional fruits and a briefing on lodge policies. After settling in, we visit Monkey Island, located in the middle of the Madre de Dios River. Observe different monkey species, sloths, caimans, turtles, herons, and more. After an Amazonian lunch and short break, we hike to the canopy bridge system built on thick tree branches. Walk along hanging bridges to spot macaws, toucans, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, monkeys, lizards, orchids, and epiphytes. Adrenaline-filled zip line included. At night, we take the boat to search for nocturnal animals along the riverbanks: caimans, owls, nightjars, and with luck, capybaras. Return for dinner.

Our adventure starts at 5:00 AM with an energizing breakfast. Then we head upstream by boat to Sandoval Lake, inside the Tambopata National Reserve. Hike a 3 km (1.8 miles) wooden trail through exuberant biodiversity, leading to a small dock where we take rowboats to explore the lake. Spot black caimans, giant river otters, herons, turtles, monkeys, macaws, wild ducks, and more. Return to the lodge, pack belongings, and take the boat back to the city.
