The adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. We drive to the start of the trek and hike to the stunning Humantay Lagoon (4,200 m), famous for its brilliant turquoise waters and views of the snowy peaks. After enjoying the scenery, we continue to Salka Glamp (3,950 m), our first night's camp surrounded by the majestic Andes.

The day starts with hot drinks brought to your tent. We ascend to the highest point of the trek: Abra Salkantay (4,630 m), with breathtaking glacier views. Then descend into the cloud forest, arriving at Collpapampa (2,770 m) where cozy Andean cabanas await.

Very early bus up to Machu Picchu. Enjoy sunrise and a guided tour of Circuit 2 (subject to availability; alternative Circuit 1 or 3 guaranteed). After free time for photos, descend to Aguas Calientes and take the Vistadome panoramic train back to Ollantaytambo, then transfer to Cusco.

The Salkantay Trek is considered challenging due to the high altitude (reaching 4,630 m at Salkantay Pass). Previous hiking experience is recommended, but with proper acclimatization in Cusco and the support of our professional guides, many travelers complete it successfully.

Yes, those entrances are not included. If you wish to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, please let us know in advance. Tickets are subject to availability and have an additional cost.
